MA Show and Research Festvial
For the MA Show, I’m proposing a body of work that continues my exploration of intimacy through everyday objects and fleeting domestic moments. I plan to exhibit 4–5 small-scale paintings, each around 25 x 30 cm, that focus on subtle gestures and scenes drawn from shared living spaces. These works will be installed against a large-scale background piece, which will either be a drawing on paper or painted directly onto the exhibition wall—depending on the conditions of the space I’m allocated. This layered presentation is intended to create a soft, immersive environment that holds the smaller works in a larger narrative field. The work is purely visual—no video, sound, or unconventional display methods—and won’t interfere with other exhibits. Ideally, I’d like a section of wall with some surrounding space and, if possible, permission to paint directly onto the wall surface. No other technical requirements.
For the Research Festival, my initial idea is to create an artist book. The book format allows me to bring together images, texts, and fragments of memory in a way that mirrors the layered, intimate nature of my painting practice.
